The Vietnam War ended in April of 1975, but for many it is still affecting them. For those who served and for those who had loved ones that never returned home, there is a constant reminder. In 1982, U.S. servicemen and servicewomen that were lost; those who served and those who still remain missing were memorialized by a permanent structure in Washington, D.C. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial remains one of the most visited landmarks in our nations capital to this day.
