The Young Eagles took flight on April 18 at Vine Grove Airport in Vine Grove, Ky. Pupils age eight to 18 learned the basics of aviation, and also took an aerial tour of Hardin County. The flights, which last about 15-20 minutes began and ended at the Vine Grove Airport. Forty-four students flew during the experience. Over 2,200 Young Eagles have flown at Vine Grove, since the program initially began.
Dick Ardisson is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Vine Grove Chapter. He, along with other numerous volunteers, work diligently to pull off a family-friendly event for visitors.
