PV2 Justin C. Baldwin of Guston completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where he graduated with a Military Occupational Skill of 31B, Military Police.

Upon completion of his training, Baldwin returned to Kentucky to serve with the Radcliff Recruiting Station as part of the Home-Town Recruiting Program. On Dec. 12, he reported to his initial duty assignment with the 94th M.P. Battalion in Seoul, South Korea.

His awards and decorations are the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Army’s marksmanship badge for rifle, pistol and grenade.

Prior to joining the U.S. Army in June 2008, he completed a year of college at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and was employed by military contractors on Fort Knox and with Allen’s S&T Hardware in Brandenburg.

A 2007 graduate of Meade County High School, the son of Kirk and Tonda Baldwin is the fourth generation of his family to serve in the U.S. Army.
