LUCILLE ARMSTRONG Lucille Armstrong, 87, Masonic Home, formerly of Vine Grove, died Aug. 12, 2005, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Armstrong; her grandson, Gregory Armstrong; and her sister, Bradie Drake. Mrs. Armstrong is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Larry Cain, Bardstown, and Betty and Russell Rogers, Rineyville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Mary Ruth Armstrong, Vine Grove, and Harold and Lynda Armstrong, Elizabethtown; two brothers, Lonnie Dowell, Louisville, and Wesley Dowell, Orange City, Fla.; a sister, Eula Young, Louisville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 15 from Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, with Rev. K. Christian Burton officiating. Burial was in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens, directed by Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Vine Grove.
