DOROTHY NUNN STEVENS Dorothy Nunn Stevens, 79, Peewee Valley, formerly of Brandenburg, died Nov. 27, 2005, at Baptist Hospital East. She was born in Pierce, Green County, the daughter of the late Nellie Mae and William Robert Thompson. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions of responsibility, including Branch Relief Society president, Stake Relief Society education counselor, Sunday school teacher, visiting teacher and temple worker in the Atlanta Temple. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wesley Nunn and Ernest Stevens, and a son, Ernie Ray Nunn. Mrs. Stevens is survived by a daughter, Norma Nunn (Dale) Hettinger, five grandchildren, Denise Hettinger, Kevin Hettinger, Melanie (John) Carroll, Amy (Phillip) Beaman and Debra (Jared) Alder; five great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Haley, Zachary, Jonathan and Donavin; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. from Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks, Shepherdsville, Preston Highway at Brooks Road. Burial will be in Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg.
