ELROY JOHNSON Elroy Johnson, 81, Irvington, died Nov. 20, 2005, at Medco Center, Hardinsburg. He was born May 26, 1924, in Bewleyville, the son of Eli Johnson and Myrtle Basham Johnson. He was retired from civil service, Fort Knox, a member of Bewleyville United Methodist Church, a member of Irvington Masonic Lodge #868, a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner and Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, 1986-1987. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Lillian Allen Johnson; a stepdaughter, Anita Getchel, Brandenburg; a sister, Mrs. Lester “Panny” Dowell, Irvington; two stepgrandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Nov. 23 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Lawhorn officiating.
