EVA RUBY TOMES Eva Ruby Tomes, 78, Ekron, died Nov. 28, 2005, at Indian Creek Nursing Home, Corydon, Ind. She was born Feb. 21, 1927, the daughter of Morris Donovan and Verna Marie Basham Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Stine and Everett Tomes; a son, Robert Taylor Tomes; a son-in-law, Joe Watson; and a grandson, Samuel Dowell. Mrs. Tomes is survived by five children, Douglas Stine, St. Matthews, Gregory Tomes andAnn Dowell, both of Guston, Judy Kiper, Ekron, and Debbie Watson, Leitchfield; a sister, Bernice Basham, Somerset; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 2 from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Brother Terry Lewis officiating. Burial was in Cap Anderson Cemetery. | This Weeks Obituaries | Obituary Archives |
