BERNARD H. YATES SR. Bernard H. Yates, Sr., 77, Vine Grove, died Dec. 9, 2005, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the honorable Kentucky Colonels. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Yates is survived by his wife, Terri Crawford Yates; four sons, Bernard “Butch” Yates, Jr., Elizabethtown, Mickey Yates, Vine Grove, Tim Yates, Rineyville, and Bobby Crawford, Louisville; five daughters, Terri McDonald, Savannah, Ga., Sharon Marcum and Angela Berthold, both of Elizabethtown, Kathy Smith, Louisville, and Brenda Eckart, Memphis, Ind.; five brothers, Ronald Yates, Tony Yates and Jack Yates, all of Rineyville, Jim Yates, Florida and Carroll Yates, Louisville; three sisters, Ann Wiseman, Rineyville, Regina Warnick and Alice Faye Minter, both of Lexington; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be held Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. from St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, with Rev. Roy Dentinger, Rev. Stan Osborne and Rev. Daniel Hussey officiating. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, Vine Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home Dec. 10 from 2-8 p.m., Dec. 11, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Dec. 12 beginning at 9 a.m. at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Vine Grove.
