GARY FRANKLIN ‘DOC’ WINDELL Dr. Gary Franklin “Doc” Windell, 71, died Dec. 10, 2005, at his home near Corydon, Ind. A native of Harrison County, he was born Oct. 10, 1934, the son of the late James Lewis and Virgie Delilah Kintner Windell. He was a retired veterinarian and a farmer, a former Harrison County probation office, a member of AA and The Next Step, a graduate of Ohio State University, an alumnist of Purdue University, a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and a member of the Catholic faith. Dr. Franklin is survived by two sons, Justin C. Windell, Miamisburg, Ohio, and Michael F. Windell, Corydon, Ind.; five daughters, Elizabeth A. McLendon, Greensboro, Ga., Katrina Miller, Bedford, Ind., Amanda L. Haake, Palmyra, Ind., Susannah M. Windell, Los Angeles, Calif., and Samantha Dye, Austin, Texas; a sister, Idalee LaHue, Snowflake, Ariz.; and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. from the Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, Ind. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Friends may call at the funeral home Dec. 13, 5-9 p.m., from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 14, and after 10 a.m. Dec. 15.
