THELMA ROSE HATMAKER Thelma Rose Hatmaker, 89, Garrett, died Dec. 19, 2005, at the Rockford Manor Nursing Home, Louisville. She was born May 24, 1916, the daughter of Gerald and Hallie Yates Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Hatmaker, and a son, Kenneth William Hatmaker. Mrs. Hatmaker is survived by six children, Mary Jo Vowels, Joseph W. Hatmaker, Louisville, Virgil Hatmaker, Brandenburg, Dorothy Nelson, Borden, Ind., Morris Hatmaker, Benton, and Verland Hatmaker, Vine Grove; two sisters, Aliene Sipes, Vine Grove, and Wilma Whelan, Flaherty; a brother, Gerald Ray, Madisonville; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. from St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty, with burial in St. Brigid Cemetery, Vine Grove.
