CHARLES J. SINGLETON

Charles J. Singleton, 83, Hendersonville, Tenn., died Dec. 21, 2005. He was born in Meade County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mackie Lee Bomar Singleton; his parents, J.R. “Bud” and Anna Kerrick Singleton; two brothers, Orville Singleton and Woodard Singleton; and two sisters, Irene (Alex) Medley and Muriel (Thad) Redman.

Mr. Singleton is survived by two sons, Michael Singleton and Mark (Abby) Singleton; two daughters, Peggy (Eddie) Ragsdale and Pamela Craighead; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Local survivors include four nephews, Chester Medley, Walter Redman, Robert Redman and Larry Singleton, and a niece, Thelma Singleton.

Funeral services were held Dec. 23 from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Donnie Bryant officiating. Interment with full military honors was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
