CHARLES R. ‘RED’ SINGLETON

Charles R. “Red” Singleton, 70, Brandenburg, died Aug. 23, 2005, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Wolf Creek, the son of Joseph Roy Singleton and Hazel Allen Singleton.

He was owner of Cecil & Red’s Appliances in Louisville and a member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge #1177.

Mr. Singleton is survived by his wife, Carol Robertson Singleton; his mother, Hazel Allen Singleton, Brandenburg; four children, Sarah Fulton, Monticello, Rebecca Snyder, Guston, Julie White, Louisville, and Richard Lynch, Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sisters, Tammy Beasley, Midway, and Linda Basham, Magnolia; a brother, Willis “Ed” Singleton, Mt. Washington; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 26 from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Bro. James Hedrick and Chaplain Jack Nix officiating. Burial was in St. Stephens Cemetery, Louisville.

Pallbearers were Lawrence White, Tim Smith, Jack Spivey, Richard Lynch, James Snyder and Sid Pike.
