RHETA YVONNE TYLER Rheta Yvonne Tyler, 69, Radcliff, died Aug. 22, 2005, at Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox. Retiring as a bookkeeper from UARCO, she also helped manage family-owned businesses including P&J Food Mart, Vine Grove. She also helped establish the Jean Henry Center for Handicapped Adults. Her memberships included Ladies Auxiliaries of the Riasok Shrine Club, American Legion Post 113, AmVets Post 103, and VFW Post 10281. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Gowers, and her brother, David Gowers. Mrs. Tyler is survived by her husband, William “Willie B.” Tyler; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rebecca Tyler, Elizabethtown; three daughters, Veronica “Ronnie” Tyler, Elizabethtown, Michelle Tyler Mitchell, Vine Grove, and Pamela Kay Tyler, Radcliff; her mother, Rheta Gowers, Seffner, Fla.; a brother, Rodney Gowers, Baden, Pa.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Jack Adrian, West Union, W.Va., Reynette and Floyd Murton, Beaver Falls, Pa., and Debbie and Barry Cotton, Seffner, Fla.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Aug. 26 from Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Radcliff. The guest register may be signed at www.nebfh.com.
