STEPHEN RAY ZANONE SR. Stephen Ray Zanone Sr., 59, Guston, died Sept. 2, 2005, at Norton Hospital, Louisville. He was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Louisville, the son of the late John Thomas Zanone Sr. and Mary Cornelia Jecker Zanone. He was a retired machinist from International Truck & Engine in Indianapolis, Ind., a member of UAW Local #98, Indianapolis, Ind., a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Theresa Council #2282 of the Knights of Columbus, a farmer, a member of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and Meade County Cattleman’s Association and Trinity High Alumni, Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Neil Zanone, two children, Daniel Lee Zanone and Mary Ann Zanone, and a grandchild, Sarah Jeanne Daugherty. Mr. Zanone is survived by his wife, Rose Carolyn Basham Zanone; four children, Stephen Ray (Sandra) Zanone Jr., Lexington, Diana Jeanne (Jerry) Daugherty, Union, Elizabeth Susan (Nathan) Arnold, Guston, and Andrew John (Amanda) Zanone, Brandenburg; two sisters, Judith Ann Magre, Louisville, and Mary Elise Hembree, Sylmar, Calif.; five brothers, John Thomas Zanone Jr., Las Vegas, Nev., David Neil Zanone, Fripp Island, S.C., Darryl Richard Zanone, Hendersonville, Tenn., Anthony Lee Zanone, Louisville, and James Douglas Zanone, Wellington, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Katie Zanone, Abby Zanone, Kayla Daugherty, Thomas Daugherty, Jesse Arnold and Seth Arnold. Funeral services were held Sept. 5 from St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Paul Beach and Rev. Wallace Thomas officiating. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Pallbearers were Eric Masterson, Travis Stith, Glenn Redmon, Bryan Claycomb, Steve Smith and Bruno Ilario.
