D. M. MARTIN D. M. Martin, 86, Union Star, died Sept. 7, 2005, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born July 4, 1919, in Valley Station, the son of the late Guy Hubert and Frances Smith Martin. He was a retired farmer, owner of Martin Construction, an antique dealer, a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Vicky Boyken and Beverly Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Nancy White Martin, Union Star; two sons Kenneth Ray Martin, Louisville, and Robert Dee (Maggie Sills) Martin, Brandenburg; a daughter Anna “Frankie” (Richard) Bilinski, Louisville; four grandchildren, Kelly (Megan) Martin, Dana (Alan) Whited, Neil (Tiffany) Boyken and Erin (Scotty) Waddell; eight great-grandchildren, Tara, Danielle and Elizabeth Martin, Lorna Kate and Tracker Whited, Layna and Joseph Boyken and Logan Waddell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 9, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Rhodelia, with Father Bob Abel officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Stephensport, directed by Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5 - 9 p.m. Sept. 9 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
