CLAUDE E. MUDD SR. Claude E. Mudd Sr., 78, Irvington, died Sept. 22, 2005. He was born in Leitchfield on Nov. 29, 1926, the son of Jack Mudd and Alma Cockeral Mudd. He was a retired welder for G.H. Hicks and Sons and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Wright Mudd. Mr. Mudd is survived by two sons, Claude Mudd Jr., Irvington, and Robert Hinton, Pekin, Ind.; two daughters, Alma Reeb, Irvington, and Sharon Dobson, Campbellsville; several grandchildren; a brother Jr. Mudd, Fairdale; and three sisters, Minnie Miller, Louisville, Alice Powell, Shepherdsville, and Virginia Pullam, Bagdad. Funeral services will be held Sept. 24 at 1 p.m., at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Messengale officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Louisville.
