ERNEST E. ‘ERNIE’ LUCAS Ernest E. “Ernie” Lucas, 57, Irvington, died Oct. 4, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 10, 1948, in Irvington, the son of Libby Carter Lucas the late Francis “Red” Lucas. He was employed with the Breckinridge County Board of Education and formerly employed with Houchens, Blancett Motors and Alexander Funeral Home. He was a member of Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, Brenda Lucas; two sons, Richard (Sandra) Lucas and Michael (Katie) Lucas, both of Irvington; his mother, Libby Lucas, Irvington; two brothers, Frankie Lucas, Brandenburg, and Ricky Lucas, Irvington; three sisters, Cheryl Gammon, Hawesville, Susie Gray, Tell City, Ind., and Janet Robinson, Irvington; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Oct. 7 from Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Moreno Cemetery, Irvington, directed by Alexander Funeral Home.
