ALEX SIMMONS Alex Simmons, 16, Elizabeth, Ind., died Nov. 23, 2005, from injuries he received in an automobile accident near Elizabeth, Ind. He was born Sept. 22, 1989, in Clark County, Ind., the son of Kathy Simmons, Brandenburg, and David and Cheryl Simmons, Elizabeth, Ind. He was a freshman at South Central High School and a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church in Ekron. He participated in baseball, soccer, football, cross country, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willard O. Simmons. Mr. Simmons is survived by his parents; a brother, Eric Simmons, Elizabeth, Ind.; grandparents, Bud and Cletice McRae and Lucille Simmons all of Elizabeth, Ind.; and three stepbrothers, Quentin West, Daniel West, and Lucas West, all of Elizabeth, Ind. Funeral services will be held Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. from Gehlbach - Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Ind., with Bro. Dave Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Evans Landing Cemetery near Elizabeth, Ind. Visitation will be Nov. 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Nov. 27 after 9 a.m. Pallbearers will be Crandall Simpson, Justin Heitkemper, T.J.
