MARY CATHERINE KNOTT Mary Catherine Knott, 78, Battletown, died June 6, 2006, at her residence. She was born May 11, 1928, the daughter of Jacob and Anna Harlan McMahan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lamar Knott, and three brothers, Joe McMahan, Henry McMahan and Bobby McMahan. Mrs. Knott is survived by six children, Donna Valuska and Barbara Amburgey, both of Louisville, Beverly Lax, Shepherdsville, David Knott, Nashville, Tenn., Larry Knott and Keith Knott, both of Payneville; two brothers, Jake McMahan, Shepherdsville, and Bill McMahan, Tifton, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held June 9 at 11 a.m. from St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Ronald Knott and Rev. Robert Abel officiating.
