ALICE (COLE) CLARK CHISM

Alice (Cole) Clark Chism, 92, Payneville, died July 15, 2006, at Medco Center of Brandenburg She was born Jan. 19, 1914, in Rhodelia, to the late Joseph and Hattie (Heavrin) Cole.

She was a goodwill ambassador of the community, who liked to fish, hunt ginseng and mushrooms, worked in tobacco, grew a big garden, and loved her family.

Mrs. Chism is survived by three daughters, Sandy (Jeff) Smith and Ann (Arnie) Duncan, both of Payneville, and Cathy (Ron) Benefield, McDaniels; two sons, Mike (Fran) Clark and Bruce Chism, both of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Margaret Mullins, Payneville.

Funeral services were held July 18 from St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
