IDA BERNICE CLATER

Ida Bernice Clater, 77, Sanger, Texas, formerly of Custer, died Aug. 30, 2006, in Texas. She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Fairfield (Breckinridge County), the daughter of Arthur Hager and Cora Haynes Hager.

She was a homemaker, did upholstering out of her home for several years, and was a member of Custer United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Clater is survived by her husband, James Clater; a son, Jim “Hank” Clater, Texas; two sisters, Mary Frances Allen, Hardinsburg, and Artie Beatty, Louisville; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Buril Fentress officiating. Burial will be in Custer Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Sept. 2.
