RACHEL RAMSEY ALDERMAN

Rachel Ramsey Alderman, 53, San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Brandenburg, died March 24, 2006, in San Antonio. She was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Louisville, the daughter of Egbert and Christine Ramsey.

She was an accountant with USAA, CPA and CFP. She was active in Emmaus and Kairos Communities, a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church, and organized the Stock N Roll Investment Club.

She was preceded in death by her father, Egbert Ramsey.

Mrs. Alderman is survived by her mother, Christine Hoskinson Ramsey, Brandenburg; her husband of 24 years, Thomas Alderman; two sons, Donald (Jennifer) Wells and Thomas (Rosalyn) Alderman, all of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Jill Alderman (Joseph) Cowan, Lemesa, Texas, and Joanna Alderman (Neil) Balzer, San Antonio, Texas; her brothers, Michael Ramsey, Louisville, and Joel Ramsey, Lexington Park, Md.; four grandchildren, Jordyn Kendall Wells, Evan Alderman, Emma Cowan and Campbell Cowan.

Memorial services were held March 29 from St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, San Antonio, with Rev. Cheryl Owens officiating. Interment was in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Brandenburg United Methodist Church or Meade County Relay for Life.
