PAUL E. ‘JACK’ LABHART Paul E. “Jack” Labhart, 89, died Jan. 6, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital, Tell City, Ind. He was born June 28, 1917, in Tell City, the son of the late Charles Peter and Theresa (Scully) Labhart. A lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1424, he retired from Maxon Marine and had formerly worked at US Brick Company in Tell City and the Cannelton Locks and Dam. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Sophia Gross; a daughter, Carolyn Arverta Labhart; two sisters, Bobbie Labhart and Louise Farley; and six brothers, William Labhart, Scully Labhart, Marion Labhart, Fernie Labhart, Warren Labhart and Charles Labhart. Mr. Labhart is survived by six sons, Marion “Butch” (Donna) Labhart, Utica, Larry (Bonnie) Labhart, Roy (Jeanie) Labhart, and Thomas (Gina) Labhart, all of Tell City, Ind., Dennis (Bettye) Labhart, Elkins, Ark., and Jerry (Kathy) Labhart, Flaherty; 12 grandchildren, Carol Johnson, Mike Labhart, Kelly Schaffer, Sonny Labhart, Jessie Labhart, Erik Labhart, Patrick Labhart, Jacob Labhart, Chad Labhart, Lisa Labhart, Logan Labhart and Lucas Labhart; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. from Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel with Pastor Gene Throop officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tell City, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home Jan. 8, 2-8 p.m., and Jan. 9, 9-11 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Tell City Moose Lodge #1424.
