RUSSELL T. ‘RT’ DOWELL Russell T. “RT” Dowell, 81, Webster, died March 29, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Lodiburg, the son of Russell B. and Vanda Robertson Dowell. He was retired from Olin Corporation, Brandenburg, and a member of Irvington Baptist Church and Irvington Masonic Lodge. Mr. Dowell is survived by his wife, Martha Rold Dowell; two sons, David Dowell, Webster, and Steve Dowell, Payneville; a daughter, Janice Elder, Hardinsburg; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 1 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Shacklett officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Lodiburg. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Irvington Baptist Church building fund.
