C.E. ‘JUNIOR’ SMITH C.E. “Junior” Smith, 85, Guston, died May 3, 2007, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center, Radcliff. He was born Nov. 25, 1921, the son of Robert Eugene and Mary Alberta Stewart Smith. He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and also attended Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church and was a retired building contractor and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wives, Anna Ruth Mills Smith and Alice Fackler Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by four children, Gene (Betty) Smith, Judy (Mark Gossett) Hicks, and Rick (Debbie) Smith, all of Brandenburg, and Roger (Alice) Smith, Irvington; 10 grandchildren, Steven and Cindy Smith, Jon and Rebecca Embry, Michelle and Todd Whillhite, Debbie and Greg Teague, Kim Smith, Adam Hicks, Chris Smith, Jennifer Smith, Mark Smith and Chelsie Fackler; and eight great-grandchildren, Anthony, Caroline, Michael, Elizabeth, Madelyn, Michael, Alex and Zach. Funeral services were held May 5 from Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Irvington, with Rev. Gregory G. Trawick officiating. Burial was in St. George Cemetery, directed by Hager Funeral Home.
