ELLEN THOMPSON Ellen Thompson, 49, died May 5, 2007, at Kindred Hospital. She was an active member of the Democratic party and served in the past as president of the Meade County Democratic Women’s Club and Doe Valley Homeowner’s Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nell and Willis Thompson, and a sister, Molly Timberlake. Ms. Thompson is survived by her sister, Fran Thompson, Vine Grove; a brother, Jim (Patsy) Thompson, Battletown; five nieces and nephews; and many beloved cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held May 13 at 3 p.m. from First Baptist Church, Brandenburg. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church, Meade County Public Library or the Meade County Fairgrounds.
