STOY MURRELL ROBINSON

Stoy Murrell Robinson, 87, Brandenburg, formerly of Louisville, died May 8, 2007, at his home. He was a native of Breckinridge County.

He was a retired mechanic for John Martin Distributors, an Army veteran of World War II where he was awarded the Silver Star, and a member of American Legion Post 220 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1181.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Drane Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was survived by his children, Linda Snyder, Paulette (Steve) Dennison, Charlie (Brenda) Robinson, and Gary Robinson; his loving companion, Shirley Priest; five stepchildren, Bruce (Anna) Priest, Connie Alvarez, Stacy Baxter, Tracy Priest and Chuck Poole; 14 grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Snyder, Eddie Snyder, Chris Beck, Tiffany Beck, Sarah Beck, Adam Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Samantha Robinson, Noah Alvarez, Aaron Jones, Dalton Baxter, Sarah Priest, Brandon Priest and Carrie Priest; seven great-grandchildren, Chad Snyder, Jennifer Snyder, Jason Snyder, Julie Snyder, Travis Carroll, Aaliyah Fentress and Matthew Snyder.

Funeral services will be held May 11, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home May 10, from 2-8 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Legion/VFW, Brown Cancer Center, or Hospice of Central Kentucky.
