BETTY C. SIPES Betty C. Sipes, 90, Irvington, died May 20, 2007, at Hospice of Louisville. She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Breckinridge County, the daughter of Albert and Inez Milburn Lockard. She was a lunchroom manager at Alice Waller and Irvington elementary schools, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Valley Station, a lifetime PTA member and member of Beechland Baptist Church, Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Sipes. Mrs. Sipes is survived by a son, William Sipes, Louisville; a daughter, Donna Dunn, Louisville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held May 24 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home May 23 after 4 p.m. and after 8 a.m. May 24.
