ELSIE CLYDA POOLE

Elsie Clyda Poole, 88, Brandenburg, died Jan. 8, 2007. She was born on April 8, 1918, in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late Frank Dean and Cova (Wilson) Decker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Roberts; and two brothers, L.B. Decker and Arvie Decker.

Ms. Poole is survived by six children, Brenda (Gene) Swink, Union Star, Shelby Poole, Stephensport, Wayne (Margarett) Poole, Brandenburg, Gene (Thelma) Poole, Irvington, Buren (Ann) Poole, Garfield, and Danny (Shirley) Poole, McQuady; six sisters, Artie Haynes and Delpha (Bill) Fackler, both of Brandenburg, Joe (Joseph) Claycomb, Vine Grove, Fadetta Montgomery, Paducah, Mary Haynes, Guston, and Phyllis (Bill) Wahrenberg, Shepherdsville; a brother, Carlton Decker, Hardinsburg; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Jan. 10 from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Bro. Jake Huffman officiating. Burial was in New Highland Church Cemetery, Brandenburg.

Pallbearers were Andrew Poole, Daniel Poole, Jeff Poole, Rob Poole, Eugene Miller, and Harold Carman.
