VESTER LUCAS Vester Lucas, 96, Irvington, died Dec. 26, 2006, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg. He was born Feb. 11, 1910, in Breckinridge County, the son of Rafe and Elizabeth Sosh Lucas. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by four sons, Coy Lucas, Lenzy Lucas, Ralph Lucas and Charles Lucas. Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, Pearl Lucas; four sons, Jessie Lucas, Harned, Audie Lucas, McDaniels and, Raymond Lucas and Steve Lucas, both of Irvington; four daughters, Beulah Basham, Velma Priest, Carolyn Lucas and Cheryl Board, all of Irvington; two brothers, Mike Lucas, Hardinsburg, and Murtha Lucas, Indiana; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 29 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Sosh officiating. Burial was in Custer Cemetery.
