MADELINE SHELLEY LEACH Madeline Shelley Leach, 88, Lexington, formerly of Stanford, died July 4, 2007, at Mayfair Manor. She was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Clinton County, the daughter of the late Martin and May Cross Shelley. She was a homemaker, an elementary school teacher and a member of Brandenburg United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Randall “Randy” Leach, and two brothers. Mrs. Leach is survived by a son, Randy (Donna) Leach, Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Robyn (John) Proctor, Brandenburg, and Ellen Leach, Lexington; two brothers, Owen Shelley, LaVonia, Mich., and Eddie Shelley, Selma, Ala.; a sister, Leta Limrick, Luskin, Texas; five grandchildren, Alison Proctor (John) Beavin, Sam (Liz) Proctor, and William, Andrew and Callie Leach; and three great-grandchildren, Jake, Madeline and Grant Beavin. Funeral services will be held July 10 at 11 a.m. from New Beginnings United Methodist Church with Rev. Willard Knipp officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery directed by Spurlin Funeral Home of Stanford. Friends may call at New Beginnings United Methodist Church July 10, from 10-11 a.m. Pallbearers were Sam Proctor, William Leach, Andrew Leach, John Beavin, Alfred Harris Pence Jr., and Dickie Faulkner. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Stroke Association.
