Russell Ross, 90, Irvington, died Jan. 10, 2007, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville. He was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Breckinridge County, the son of Marvin Ross and Lottie Gillingwators Ross. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a carpenter, electrician, plumber and farmer. He attended and supported Rosetta United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Dooley Ross, Dooley Ross, and two infant children. Mr. Ross is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Ashcraft, Brandenburg, and Lucille Ross, Irvington; and three nieces. Funeral services will be held Jan. 13 at noon from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Jan. 12. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Bewleyville.
