BEATRICE MAE COX Beatrice Mae Cox, 93, died July 14, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Brandenburg. She was born May 16, 1914, in Tobyhanna, Pa., the daughter of Lawrence and Nellie Smith. She was a wife, mother, waitress and worked in a nursing home. She was a former resident of Daleville, Pa., and of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Cox; siblings Evelyn Walters, James Smith, Howard Smith, Wendall Smith and Gerald Smith; a grandson, James Bush; and a son-in-law, John McCoy. Mrs. Cox is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann McCoy, Brandenburg, and Shirley Mae (Clyde) Bush, N. Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Leroy (Helen) Smith, Delaware; five grandchildren, Jill McHaney, Florida, Janice (Roy) Duncan, Georgia, Lynne (Glen) Carmichael, Lexington, John (Lisa) McCoy, Lancaster, Pa., and Wayne (Laney) McCoy, Kentucky; 13 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law, Areida Smith and Ruth Smith, both of Iowa, Evelyn Smith, North Carolina, and Margaret Smith, Pennsylvania.
