JAMES B. STITH JR. James B. Stith Jr., 60, died July 9, 2007, in Somerset from complications from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born April 19, 1947, and was raised in Lexington. He graduated from Henry Clay High School, Transylvania University and UK School of Pharmacy. He was a pharmacist at Walgreen’s in Somerset. He loved his church and served in many capacities at Immanuel Baptist Church including Sunday school teacher, youth worker, bus driver and choir member. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Stith. Mr. Stith is survived by a son, Sgt. Phillip (Amy) Stith, Beaufort, S.C.; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. James Stith, Lexington; four sisters, Nancy Stith, Atlanta, Ga., Sally (David) Steele, Lexington, Helen (George) Keck, Ceres, Va., and Mary Lee Goldstein, Henderson, Nev.; four nephews; and a niece. Memorial services were held July 11 from Immanuel Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church, 808 Bourne Ave, Somerset, KY 42501.
