HELEN SUE SKEETERS RAY Helen Sue Skeeters Ray, 71, Vine Grove, died July 19, 2007, at her residence. She was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church for 51 years and was retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ray; her parents, Fonnie and Esther Skeeters; and three sisters, Betty Kargauer, Virginia Groves and Nancy Stewart. Mrs. Ray is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Tim) Cowley, Rineyville; two sons, Mark Ray, Vine Grove, and Terry (Carrie) Ray, Flaherty; five grandchildren, Eric Cowley, Louisville, Ashley Cowley, Bonita Springs, Fla., Julia Ray, Elizabethtown, Terrah Ray and Kacie Ray, both of Flaherty; a cousin, Lib (Gene) Moore, Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was held July 21 from St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, with Rev. Dan Lincoln officiating. Burial was in St. Brigid Cemetery, directed by Coffey & Chism Funeral Home.
