DAWN BELCHER Dawn Belcher, 36, died Aug. 12, 2007, at her home. She was born Dec. 6, 1970, in Louisville, the daughter of Terrance and Patricia Lucas Avery. She was raised in the Fort Knox area and attended Fort Knox High School where she was involved in track and soccer. In the spring of 1996 she moved to Oklahoma, where she met David Freeman, her longtime companion. She was employed in the health care industry and helped with the Inola soccer club. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Earl Lucas and Dutch Peterson. Ms. Belcher is survived by her parents, Terry and Pat Avery, Sand Springs; her long-time companion, David Freeman, Inola; a son, Rehmmey Belcher, Kentucky; two daughters, Myranda and Jourdan Freeman, Inola; three brothers, Robert Avery, Fort Supply, Tracy and Travis Avery, both of Oklahoma; and her grandparents, Ruth Lucas and Margaret Peterson. A memorial service was held Aug. 15 from the Inola Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Hay officiating. Condolences may be left online at www.mmsfuneralhomes.com.
