LAWRENCE HAYNES Lawrence Haynes, 69, Bowling Green, died Aug. 24, 2007, at Norton Hospital, Louisville. The Brandenburg native was self-employed, working in the commercial trucking and tire industry. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Haynes and Aliene Murray Haynes; his wife, Nancy Ellen Cook Haynes; and a sister, May Johnson. Mr. Haynes is survived by two sons, Mark (Carol) Haynes, Elizabethtown, and Jeff (Amy) Haynes, Brandenburg; two daughters, Patricia Bramblett, Marietta, Ga., and Sandra (Ronald) Lapierre, Comer, Ga.; two brothers, Herbert Haynes and Houston “Doodle” Haynes, both of Brandenburg; a sister, Faye Whelan, Brandenburg; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 27 from the chapel of Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.Burial was in Fairview Cemetery #1.
