EMMA RUTH MARTIN Emma Ruth Martin, 76, Irvington, died Sept. 4, 2007. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Irvington, the daughter of Joe Haynes and Beulah Garner. She was formerly employed at the Bachelor Officers Quarters at Fort Knox, and a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Clifford Martin Sr., Irvington; three sons, Michael, Irvington, Clifford Jr., Texas, and Kenneth, Radcliff; nine daughters, Joyce Martin, Owensboro, Marie Ferguson, Alabama, Victoria Cunningham, Vine Grove, Gretel Owens, Texas, Pamela Martin and Barbara Garcia, both of Irvington, Donna Leeper, Radcliff, Carol Wills, S.C., and Josephine Tummes, Maryland; 27 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Burial was in Irvington Cemetery.
