BIRDIE DEE MCCORMICK Birdie Dee McCormick, 91, Guston, died Dec. 23, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. She was born Jan. 26, 1915, the daughter of Owen Thomas and Charity Carter Armstrong. Mrs. McCormick is survived by five children, William (Linda) McCormick, Guston, Betty Tyler, LaGrange, Gertha Elms, Rolla, Mo., Joyce (Al) Dennison, Louisville, and Charles (Joyce) McCormick, Sulphur; four stepchildren, Beatrice Preston, Utica, Elliott (Genevieve) McCormick, Leitchfield, Della (Herman) Pearl, Louisville, and Nelda (Bill) Taylor, Philpot; two half-sisters, Irene Green, Leitchfield, and Mary (Joe) Whittle, Louisville; a half-brother, William (Beth) Armstrong, Louisville; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 27 from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Rick White officiating. Burial was in Hanging Rock Cemetery, Leitchfield.
