Charlie E. Jennette Jr., 62, Radcliff, died Sept. 18, 2007. He was born Oct. 1, 1944, in Bath, N.C., the son of Isabell and the late Charlie E. Jennette Sr. He served in the Army for over 23 years and earned the rank of 1st sergeant. He received numerous awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and many Good Conduct Medals. He was still serving his country, working with the Department of Defense, as security on Fort Knox. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and held the position of deacon chairman for three years and an implemental position in fellowship and brotherhood. He also was a member and secretary of the Lions Club. He was known to many businesses in the area because of his past employment, ADSCO. Mr. Jennette is survived by his wife, Pok Yon “Diane” Jennette; his mother, Isabell Jennette of North Carolina; two daughters, Marie and Catherine; two grandchildren, Austin and Addysun; two brothers, Russell of Georgia and Mardell of North Carolina; three sisters, Maureen Hardy, Lyle Spencer and Shelvia Eberson; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends. Funeral services will be held Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. from New Life Baptist Church, (Logan St.) in Radcliff with Pastor Hyuk Ju Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central Radcliff, with military honors, directed by Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home.
