DORIS MAE DOWDING Doris Mae Dowding, 89, Radcliff, died Sept. 21, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. She was a member of Stithton Baptist Church, Radcliff, and the Officers Club, Fort Knox. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl Gardner and Alfred Dowding; her parents, Alfred and Minnie Leonard; a son, Buddy Gardner; and a grandson, Rodney Coffey. Mrs. Dowding is survived by a daughter, Vonnie (Joe) Keltner, Radcliff; a son, Carl Leonard Gardner, Radcliff; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Straney. Funeral services were held Sept. 24 from the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, with Rev. James Royalty and Rev. Ben Watts officiating. Burial was in North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Radcliff.
