CHRISTINE H. (HIESTAND) NICHOLS Christine H. (Hiestand) Nichols, 76, Louisville, died Oct. 7, 2007, at her residence. She was a retired plant operator for the Board of Education after over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Moreland III, and a brother, Malcolm Hiestand. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Nichols; two daughters, Helen (Babe) Quire and Brenda Marks; a brother, Joe (Betty) Hiestand; a sister, Doris Jean Dutra; a daughter-in-law, Linda Moreland; three stepchildren, Deborah Dink, Doug Nichols and Ron Nichols; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. from the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Oct. 9, from 2-8 p.m.
