JAMES RHODES DEMPSTER James Rhodes Dempster, 62, Webster, died Jan. 21, 2007, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was born April 17, 1944, in Breckinridge County, the son of the late Phil and Florence Dempster. He received a master’s degree in English from the University of Louisville and taught at Elizabethtown Community College at Fort Knox. Mr. Dempster is survived by his wife, Betty Vance; two brothers, Phil Dempster and Foster (Betty) Dempster; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Jan. 27, 2-4:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of your choice.
