JERRY ALLEN ‘JUG’ SMITH Jerry Allen “Jug” Smith, 54, Payneville, died Oct. 10, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Woods, and a sister, Theresa Woods Gissy. Mr. Smith is survived by his daughters, Robin (Thomas) Duval, Henderson, and Bridgette Smith, Elizabethtown; his mother, Maurine “Hammer” Woods, Payneville; two sisters, Monica Sue (Jeff) Acob, Rineyville, and Wanda (Stacy McCubbins) Stewart, Lebanon Junction; four brothers, Tim Woods, Guston, Billy Joe Woods, Thomas Woods and James Ray Woods, all of Payneville; and two grandchildren, Channing and Cassidy Duval. Funeral services will be held Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Oct. 13, 1-9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Oct. 14. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home for the family.
