EARL M. DAVIS SR. Earl M. Davis Sr., 69, Brandenburg, died Oct. 20, 2007, at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville. He was born April 1, 1938, in Todd County, the son of Rev. O.R. Davis and Nina Groves Davis. He was employed with Olin Corporation in Brandenburg for 10 years. He was a realtor, auctioneer, broker, an associate with McGehee-Humphrey-Davis Realty & Auction and Kentucky Land Company and a member of Irvington United Methodist Church. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Nancy Minter Davis; a son, Earl M. “Brad” Davis Jr., Elizabethtown; two daughters, Cindra L. Wittman, Elizabethtown, and Amy N. Hall, Louisville; two brothers, Virgil Davis, South Bend, Ind., and Warren Davis, Mt. Washington; three sisters, Floeva Elder, Owensboro, Ramona Crick, Tennessee, and Diane Pate, Hopkinsville; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. Eastern time from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Basinger officiating. Burial will be in Custer Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Oct. 23, 2-9 p.m. Eastern time, and after 8 a.m. Oct. 24. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Custer Cemetery.
