DR. CHARLES R. CANNON Dr. Charles R. Cannon, 71, Plantation, Fla., formerly of Breckinridge County, died Oct. 23, 2007, in Florida. He was born July 31, 1936, in Louisville, the son of Claude and Margaret Bowlds Cannon. He was the first chiropractor in Plantation, Fla., and opened his office in 1964. He was a graduate of Breckinridge County High School and one of the five runners of the cross country state championship team in 1953. Dr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Dr. Charles R. Cannon Jr., and John Cannon; three daughters, Monica Wackes, Claudia White and Diane Cannon, all of Florida; a sister, Mary Lee Vittitoe, Louisville; a stepmother, Laura Boutwell, Florida; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT Oct. 27 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington. Burial was in the Sand Knob Cemetery in Breckinridge County. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. EDT Oct. 27.
