COLEMAN “MOSE” CARMAN JR.

Coleman “Mose” Carman Jr., 76, Hardinsburg, died Oct. 30, 2007, at Breckinridge Health Inc. He was born May 30, 1931, in Locust Hill, the son of the late Coleman Minton Carman Sr. and Meda Nix.

He was a member and deacon of Garfield Baptist Church and a 53-year Mason of Breckinridge Lodge #67. He retired from Emmick Oil Company and Breckinridge County Fiscal Court where he served three terms as 1st District magistrate. He was also a member and chairman of the Breckinridge County School Board.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Robinson, and two brothers, Harold “Buddy” Carman and Gene Carman.

Mr. Carman is survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita; three daughters, Bobbie Ann Day, Owensboro, Terrie (Greg) Fentress, Hardinsburg, and JoNell (Dwight) Sebastian, Kingswood; three sisters, Helen Robertson, Omaha, Neb., Janet Priest, Louisville, and Francis Gianncola, New Albany, Ind.; four grandchildren, Kevin Wright, Derek Wright, Chad Fentress and Kate Sebastian; and a great-granddaughter, Carly Wright.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at Garfield Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Nov. 1 from 3-8 p.m., and after 8:30 a.m. Nov. 2.
