MARJORIE B. HENRY

Marjorie B. Henry, 82, Finchville, died Dec. 2, 2007, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was born in Spencer County, the daughter of the late Guy Hughes and Minnie Belle Monroe Brookshire.

A graduate of Taylorsville High School, she taught grade school at Elk Creek during her senior year there. She later worked in the cafeteria at Finchville School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Finchville Baptist Church where she taught the ladies’ Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Hugh and Cecil Brookshire; and a sister, Glenna Mae Robinson.

Mrs. Henry is survived by her husband, William W. “Bill” Henry Sr., Finchville; a son, Billy Henry, Finchville; a daughter, Amye Henry Shouse; two brothers, Allen Brookshire and Frank Brookshire, both of Taylorsville; four sisters, Wilma Stump and Pauline Henry, both of Taylorsville, Anna Ruth Tindle, Shelbyville, and Betty Rae Curry, Brandenburg; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel of Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with Rev. Wayne Ward and Rev. Jay Tigner officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, directed by Hall-Taylor Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Dec. 4, 3-9 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Finchville Baptist Church.
