RUBY KATHERINE GRITTON Ruby Katherine Gritton, 77, Vine Grove, died Dec. 20, 2007, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Gritton; a daughter, Shirley Dever; her parents, L.W. and Minnie Payne; and a sister, Juliet McCoy. Mrs. Gritton is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Donnie) Hamblin, Tupelo, Miss., and Sandy (Calvin Jones Sr.) Glasgow, Vine Grove; two brothers, Ralph Payne and Donald Payne, both of Louisville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Radcliff, with Rev. Jack Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Dec. 22, 6-8 p.m., and after 11 a.m. Dec. 23.
