Michael J. Gruenfelder, 74, Vine Grove, died Dec. 18, 2007, at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, DAV and American Legion, both of Louisville. Mr. Gruenfelder is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Gruenfelder, Vine Grove; three children, Susan Zaborowski, Vine Grove, Daniel J. Gruenfelder, Texas, and Stanley Gruenfelder, Radcliff; six grandchildren (with one on the way); and two brothers, Kenny Gruenfelder and Charlie Gruenfelder, both of New York. A funeral Mass was held Dec. 21 from St. Brigid Catholic Church with Rev. R.E. Dentinger officiating. Burial was in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, with military honors, directed by Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove. Condolences may be left online at www.coffeyandchism.com.
